Hot day - but quiet enuff to get some real work done.

1st, went down to a sponsor's place to drop off a request for payment. :)

2nd, met dennis to get the circular saw, to get some handy-man job done... I hope... - Dennis was going to do some maintenance work on his work (the shop space conversion at the back, Space B)

3rd, Visited the temples around p-10, only managed 2, more another day.

4th, Lee wen was suggesting and proposing that we work with an artists initiative in Japan... (did some reflecting)

5th, worked a bit in the Space A ( gallery) - kind of now becoming a space to toy with some ideas - and documentation sorting space for p-10.

6th, sent e-mails, sms-notification about Heeman's talk this Saturday.

7th, made a temporary image gallery for seok tin's friend who will be writing about seok's work // resize the images...

8th, skipped the opening @ ICA (the ol' Earl Lu Gallery)

9th, photographed and document the going-ons in the Space A (The gallery)

* killed 2 mosquitoes... and thought about buying a rat trap. More on this in the later entries!

Spring Cleaning @ p-10

A day of spring cleaning @ p-10, now visitors, please take off your shoes! (again)

Let me explain, for the "And we took ourselves out of our hands (In search of the Miraculous)" show - curator, Guo Liang wanted visitors to wear their shoes in. While, we usually like our visitors to take them off, we respect curator's demands. :)

Taking the shoes off - meant many things to me.
1) Easy to keep p-10 clean.
2) We wanted the visitor to feel that they are entering into another space... consiously.

If there is no marking between the outside and inside, it would not make much sense. Thus, it was important to make this distinction.

More cleaning tomorrow. There will be some 'going-ons' in the exhibiting space, after the meeting the other day, we are using the space to sort out the p-10's past activities. We will process the stuff and work in that space. In a way, using this time and space to plan for our future activities. At this moment, our next exhibition will be held in June 2005 onwards.

What other activities?: There will still be talks.

I am consolidating clothes and stuff: If somebody wants it, take it - if not, the rest goes to the Salvation army. (although, most people are donating to the tsunami disaster, it is a bit too late now since they want cash not clothes.) So far, it's a bunch of old clothes, telephone, computer, etc. You may drop by to see this and if you think they are useful, please take it. If you have old stuff to consolidate, share or give to Salvation Army, you can do so. (but I can only take things which fit in my car.) ------===------ Guess that's all.
