3 pics from Valentine Willie Fine Art Gallery
* Found a book by REdza and Saba | interesting stuff, wanna find it here.
* Met Chang Hwang and Nansi @ this Lee Foundation building which is Popular bookshop!
* Well, Hoy Chong told us about Valentine Willie's resource room - we thought we want to check it out. A humble one compared to AAA - but really a good start. We met Daniel who is in charge of it and he was very kind of give us some catalogues and books which they published. (hey people, make an appointment to drop by to check this collection out.)
Well, Jen and me went to KL last week to do some additional research on some of the "happenings" which the RAP members brought up.
We went to the Isolation House installation @ RAP by Chin Chow, Balai, Notthatbalai and Valentine Willie Fine Art.
Unfortunately, I forgot to bring my battery for my camera so only could use my mobile phone cam. Here are the pics from the trip.

A Historic moment
So - as i thought it would be another day after the opening of Theatreworks new place on the previous night.
Some quite nice events happened.
Chee Kian came by p-10 to have a look at the documentation of Koeh Sia Yong's talk.
He said that he was glad to have seen it as it was a historic moment. Then it hit me... hey! He's right - (always happen to overlook things since I get too hands on with projects that it kind of hit you after).
Anyhow - right. This was probably the ending which I was looking for - the difference between history, historicisation and chancing on the historic moment. I highlighted some of the concepts/points behind the Errata exhibition in the curatorial essay.
That historic moment, Koeh Sia Yong's talk - was a meeting point for a lot of the things which I was writing. In short, it was the meeting point for the "director", the "history book", the "artist", the "painting, the "researcher"... and somehow at the end of that - made it all worth while.

Errata _ Publication and workshop
Well, was busy with the Errata publication and scanning images + printing the picture cards for the secondary school workshop tomorrow.
That should be fun and worth reporting.
Anyhow, that was the few things which we were busy with over this few days.
(Michelle and Jennifer has been proof reading essays) And I have been trying to finish the curatorial essay.
Did bumped into Guoliang and Donna @ the coffeeshop.
then - Chu Yia and Jane (this Denmark korean artist) dropped by in the nite.
Almost sold a copy of FOCAS 5.
On that note! Our merchandise for ERRATA exhibition is out... please visit our web page -- for that!

Getting close to Tang Dawu
This pic from the RAP visit | COnversations: Malaysia - photo by Jennifer Teo.
We were visiting SAM and went to the resource room with Dawu's work and documentation photo (from Koh... who else has them?)
Oh yes - was surprised that many of the RAP members know quite a bit about Dawu's work.
Then, I realised that not even SAM doesn't have much information and works by Dawu.
Another project waiting to be realised... to see the whole body of Dawu's work will be another goal in the near future.
I ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzsleep!. Gd nite.

A Saturday - very busy one.
Finally finished a whole lot of things... they were all chained-events!
First it was the Errata Exhibition then it was the Malaysian artist residencies and the Septfest forum.
Saturday was the Septfest forum: It was a bit disappointing - we did get started but the most important part was not realised. "The Discussion!"
Then we visited NAFA show, Textrapolis and then the talk. Chai Hiang's work was the best piece in the show. I liked the Vertical Submarine piece too. It is more successful than the piece in Tickleart. The talk was a bit weird - wished I attended the whole thing somehow.
Anyhow, then we went to Dawu's show in Miu Studio. I like the works on the show, there were some performances by some students but got stopped by the Takashimaya Security guards.
Then sent the Saubin to the train station - only to miss the train again. (for the second time!) It was funny.
Overall, it was a weird saturday - I felt lost ... metaphorically between the Septfest Forum and Dawu's exhibition.
Oh, recently went to see the andriod show in Sculpture square. A big disappointment. A lot of the pieces were not working. I know this is media art thing ... but really, even the augmented reality pieces were quite lame and not working! Wonder why I bother to say this anyway.
