WAKE on LAN

I am slowly "waking" up. Still busy with all the nitty gritty stuff with my computer, getting her back on track.

More to come, I believe.

3 pics from Valentine Willie Fine Art Gallery

* Found a book by REdza and Saba | interesting stuff, wanna find it here.

* Met Chang Hwang and Nansi @ this Lee Foundation building which is Popular bookshop!

* Well, Hoy Chong told us about Valentine Willie's resource room - we thought we want to check it out. A humble one compared to AAA - but really a good start. We met Daniel who is in charge of it and he was very kind of give us some catalogues and books which they published. (hey people, make an appointment to drop by to check this collection out.)

Well, Jen and me went to KL last week to do some additional research on some of the "happenings" which the RAP members brought up.

We went to the Isolation House installation @ RAP by Chin Chow, Balai, Notthatbalai and Valentine Willie Fine Art.

Unfortunately, I forgot to bring my battery for my camera so only could use my mobile phone cam. Here are the pics from the trip.

A Historic moment

So - as i thought it would be another day after the opening of Theatreworks new place on the previous night.

Some quite nice events happened.

Chee Kian came by p-10 to have a look at the documentation of Koeh Sia Yong's talk.

He said that he was glad to have seen it as it was a historic moment. Then it hit me... hey! He's right - (always happen to overlook things since I get too hands on with projects that it kind of hit you after).

Anyhow - right. This was probably the ending which I was looking for - the difference between history, historicisation and chancing on the historic moment. I highlighted some of the concepts/points behind the Errata exhibition in the curatorial essay.

That historic moment, Koeh Sia Yong's talk - was a meeting point for a lot of the things which I was writing. In short, it was the meeting point for the "director", the "history book", the "artist", the "painting, the "researcher"... and somehow at the end of that - made it all worth while.
