This is an inter-disciplinary art exhibition showcasing the in-process works of nine practicing artists in their separate research as part of the Master of Arts in Contemporary Practice programme at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and University of Huddersfield, UK. This exhibition examines the contemporary relocation and negotiation of a diverse range of disciplines and forms, from the traditional to the immediate and contemporary. The exhibition continues till 18 Dec.

3. Thu & Fri (14 & 15 Dec), 8pm

Voyeurages

By Cat Hope

72-13 (Mohd Sultan Rd)

Free (call 6737-7213 to reserve a seat)

Cat Hope is an accomplished sound artist, performer, composer, songwriter and noise artist whose practice is increasingly an interdisciplinary one that crosses over into video, performance and installation. This is a work that speaks about contemporary concepts of journey and visitation. Exploring these concepts and juxtaposing them with the visual impact of viewing the images on the naked backs of participants, this work delves into the confrontational effects that come with the unique experience of exploring new spaces on a provocative plane – the naked human torso.

Have a wonderful week ahead!

Regards,

Jennifer.
