p-10 Update (11-17 Aug 08): Exhibition, talk, Guest Chef and more!

Dear friend,



Join us this week for these exciting events:



1. Ancestors on the Beach by Jimmy Ong. Now on in Show Room till
next Wed (20 Aug). This is Ong's first major solo exhibition in
Singapore in 11 years and is part of IndigNation. Opening hours are
6-10pm (Tue-Fri), 12-10pm (Sat+Sun), closed on Mon.



2. Closed-door session with Ooi Can Seng this Wed (13 Aug). Ooi, an
Associate Professor at Copenhagen Business School researching on the
global art industry and the editor of the Copenhagen Journal of Asian
Studies, will share lessons drawn from his comparative research on
Copenhagen, Berlin and Singapore. This session aims to encourage
participants to reflect on the role of the arts in Singapore, and also
to empathise with other interests in society.



3. My Wife, My Kids by SGButterfly this Fri (15 Aug) in Show Room
at 7.30pm. From Son to Daughter, from Husband to Wife, from Daddy to
Mummy, the speakers talk about their marriage. They finally be what
they want, slightly later than others perhaps… (Part of IndigNation)



4. Fried Night Trial Run by Guest Chef Gerard Ling this Fri (15
Aug) in Food #03. From 9.30pm to midnight, we'll be serving drinks and
an assortment of fried veges - yum!



5. Discounted organic red wine this week in Food #03. We have a
case of Rosnay Triple Blend (Australia) which we are letting go at $35
per bottle, so come get some while stocks last.



6. Cafédirect fairtrade coffees, teas and chocolate drink in Food
#03. We have began selling instore as well as distributing the
