UPDATES

1. Till Tue (17 Nov), 6-10pm, Show Room, Free: Masquerade by Jung Eun Shin (Korea) takes the garden drawings and paintings of twentieth-century American painter Jennifer Bartlett as a point of reference and uses plastic as a substitute for pencil, crayon, ink and paint, replacing organic substances with inorganic material.



2. Opening Thu (19 Nov), 7pm, Show Room, Free: Life > Art > Liberation by Tang Mun Kit. This 16th solo exhibition features 21 works from a series, conceptualised from end 1992-1993 and completed this year, which reflects on the artist's perception on the human condition in the local context and the world at large. Till 2 Dec.



3. Last week, Fukuoka Asian Art Museum (Fukuoka, Japan), Free: Our project Fukuoka Really Really Free Market is held as part of Fukuoka Triennale (till 23 Nov). For more info, please have a look at http://server-foundation.org/frrfm/.

1. Wed (18 Nov), 8pm, 72-13 Mohamed Sultan Rd, Free: Screening of Journey to the Moon (79 min, with English subtitles), the newest film by Kutlug Ataman. Part of Flying Circus Project Platform 02.



2. Starting Fri (20 Nov), 10am-10pm, 1 HarbourFront Walk, Free: Art Against Aids Photography Exhibition. A first in Singapore, this exhibition showcases the poignant photographic works of 10 people who live with HIV/AIDS and who volunteer with or care for people living with the disease.



3. Sat (21 Nov), 4.30pm, Substation Gallery (45 Armenian St), Free: Artist Talk by Lucy Davis. Together Again (Wood:Cut) Part II is the second part of an ongoing inquiry into the “secret lives" of rainforest products, explored as materials, metaphors, magic, ecological resources and historical agents.
