Kyla McFarlane will introduce her Melbourne-based curatorial and writing practice and discuss recent performative video collaborations between Australian artists and musicians, dancers and choreographers. Whilst in Singapore, Kyla is curating an exhibition for Objectifs – Centre for Photography and Filmmaking. This event is a parallel project to the exhibition opening in late Aug.

Artist Elia and curator Dina will broadcast from Yogyakarta, Indonesia to talk about their recent work, in particular, their project involving food and narratives. Presented by the Independent Archive & Resource Centre

Kitchen Dialogues by Martinka Bobrikova and Oscar de Carmen

Kitchen Dialogues is an artistic endeavour which aims to change consumers’ intellectual concept of overproduction of food from supermarkets. Kitchen Dialogues has presented various food-environmental actions in the kitchen around the theme of food surplus and this is the second of three editions planned for Singapore. For this edition, the artist-duo will be presenting Kitchen Dialogues within the context of a pop-up degustation restaurant.

Awaken the Dragon Public Workshop

Get a tour of one of the last two dragon kilns left in Singapore and also a hands-on workshop where you will make your own claywork which will be fired in the dragon kiln in Nov. Join us in this unique experience of singapore's heritage, and together, we can awaken the dragon!

Awaken the Dragon 2014 Group Workshops

Join us for this community and heritage art event where we fire the dragon kiln! We are seeking participants to attend our workshops and make clay artworks which will be fired in the dragon kiln during our festival in November. Gather 20 people and we will conduct a workshop at your preferred location, at your preferred time. You can also choose to do a workshop at the dragon kiln at only $5 more person!
